Custom Links

This page shares links to my favourite and useful Star Wars and Customising websites.  Check 'em out.

This is my favourite customising website, which is run by Brian aka Darth Daddy & Elias Fulton, a father and son partnership sharing their love for Star Wars through action figure customising.  You will see many of their beautifully combined works and they also champion the hobby showcasing many of the major Customisers.  If you have a desire to feast your eyes on fantastic customs, a visit to this site is a must.

Jamie Follis aka Sillof.  A customiser at the top of the hobby, working mainly with 6" figures.  Sillof takes groups of Star Wars characters and creates various themes.  Words can't do his work justice, visit his site and experience for yourself.  His work is truly a form of art.

Imperial Shipyards is another major Star Wars community and popular for many fans and customisers alike.

Yakface is one of the foremost Star Wars communities.  The site provides much up to date information on all things Star Wars and shares the appetite for figure customising.

The Custom Coaltion, exactly what it says on the tin.  Cason Pilliod does a great role managing this home for customisers.  A visit here provides an honour role of many of the sports celebrated customisers.

New Hope Customs, the first customising site I found a couple of years ago, sparking my interest.  I hadn't seen the site since and couldn't remember the address.  Luckily, I managed to find it, though it hasn't been updated for a few years, there are workings of a talented customiser, worth the look.

Erikstormtrooper, one of the earliest customising sites I visited.  This site unfortunately is no longer updated but still has some fantastic customs and recipies.  I hope one day Erik returns and continues his good work.

John Mallamas aka Jin Saotome.  This is a fantastic site where John provides excellent tutorials on various customising  techniques across a wide range of subject matter.  He also shares tips on various materials and tools of the trade, a very useful site to visit, whether your getting started or want another perspective on techniques which may help hone a skill.  I also enjoy many of John's adventures shopping for figures, some useful intel and funny too.

John customises across a spectrum of action figure lines, so if you want to see Marvel Superheroes, Transformers amongst others, included my beloved Star Wars, go check his site out.

Coruscant Customs is run by sisters Fern and Lida Stuart, with a little help from their father.  They make unique custom Star Wars action figures that represent a lot of the awesome aliens from the Star Wars Universe.  Their favourite alien is the Twi'lek native to the planet Ryloth.

Whilst working on one of my uniformed custom figures, I was keen to incorporate scaled faction insignia.  Searches proved challenging, until I discovered a seller on eBay - 87spuds aka Bad Mother Customs tattoos.  87Spuds shop covered many varieties of waterslide transfers in scales 1/18 and 1/6, there are also some novelty scaled items too.  I contacted 87Spuds and he was very eager to help my project.  He spent some time drafting the faction insignia's, scaling down and then adding colour.  The decals arrived a few days later, no mean feat when it's shipped across the pond.  The finished decals are fantastic quality and am looking forward to using these and will most definately returning to him for more in the future.  Visit his link above to see examples of his work, he is always condusive to tailoring his product for your needs.  His prices are good and are probably cost effective for ink and paper quality, give him a try.

I also found another excellent eBay seller - Jofaboke aka Star Wars Geek heads, see link left.  First discovered Jofaboke selling lots of casts heads, whilst these required painting and possbily some small filling touches, his prices were good.  Jofaboke provides 1/18 heads across a wide figure range.  For a little more than the bulk lots, you can purchase specific character heads of excellent quality.  I have some molding kits myself, however it's sometimes good to get someone else to do the messy bit and as it's his trade, keeps the costs down.

Whilst restoring one of my Vintage R2-D2 Models, I found some fantastic decals on eBay from seller STICK-2-QUALITY ZACPARIS.  I received the competitively priced decals from Sunny Australia and the quality of image and paper were top notch.

Clue 2This Imperial Officer did not survive the Battle of Yavin per Legacy, however as part of the new Cannon he made good his escape before Luke switched his computer off.
