Tools, Tips & Other Bits

My customs have featured across Darth Daddy's excellent blog Customs For The Kid, Customs I Wish I Owned and Star Wars Undergrounds Customising Corner

Customising is a great past-time, which, unlike some other creative exploits, encompasses much from many disciplines, such as painting, sculpting, molding, working with fabrics and much more.  Figures may begin their life as toys and might even finish looking like toys, that's one perspective, my own, is that they are a form of expression art.  A customiser may want to re-create characters which they like but have never been produced, or, they might chose to employ their own imagination creating new figures, some even with their own imagined back story.  Either activity requires a keen eye and endevour with both equally rewarding.

This page is dedicated to help anyone thinking of begining customising, or finding out more regards various disciplines.  I am new to the hobby myself, although practice and experience over time may improve my results, I know that there will always be more to learn and achieve.  There are many fine customisers out in the world, some of which are registered at the Custom Coalition, whom have learned from their mistakes and successes and shared these experiences with others.  I think that they too, may feel that they can always take their talents a step further.

Very much a work in progress, given the volume of information I hope to share and time constraints, house move etc, I will aim to build the page over a period of time, so please re-visit to access updates.
